About the podCAST
Some of you may already know that we have a podcast. The podcast is the initial project Fahreen and Erika collectively worked on that was a manifestation of our mutual feminist passion.
What is a podcast?

A podcast is a series of audio recordings that usually focuses on a niche topic. There are all kinds of podcasts out there - news, politics, languages, crime - to name a few. It's kind of like subscribing to a Youtube channel you like and watching the uploaded videos - except it's audio. It's a great way to gain information whenever you want - when you're on the train, driving, cooking - anytime that is convenient for you.
What do we talk about?
In the Super Smash Hoes Podcast, Fahreen and Erika discuss an eclectic variety of social issues - with the focus of Japan. Both of us being feminists who have lived in Japan, we want to talk about social issues that relate to Japan or East Asia (but not limited to this.)

Why did we start this podcast?
​
We started this podcast for a few reasons. One reason is because of the daily questions and frustrations we have about the way things are and people behave in our lives. We want to ask why and we know there are other people out there who experience the same frustrations and want to do something about it. We also realised that there is not so much or rather, not enough apparent feminist discussion with the focus on Japan or East Asia. We want to contribute to change that. We understand there are limits to what we can do through a podcast but we believe having conversation is a big first step in improving things in society. Without discussion, there will never be progress.

What language is the podcast in?

The main language of the podcast is English since this is a common language the co-hosts have. Occasionally we will have episodes in Japanese with guests as we would love to reach a Japanese audience too.

Search "Super Smash Hoes" and you should be able to find our podcast with our iconic logo - an animation of Fahreen and Erika smashing a brick ceiling or click on the hyperlinks below.
